Relive the excitement, determination, and accomplishments of the 2014 Otis-Bison Cross Country team . The small, seven-runner squad brought home a total of twenty-one medals and ran an average of two-hundred fifty miles, per person over a seventy-five day period. Freshmen Carly Welsh and Thomas Harmon earned berths at the KSHSAA 1A State Cross Country Meet where they finished 40th and 46th in their respective divisions. Congratulations and let’s get ready for the 2015 season!

The Kansas State High School Activities Association recognizes individuals who have actively officiated for twenty, thirty, and forty years. Believe it or not, this school year was my 20th. I’ve met tons great kids and worked with a lot of great officials. It isn’t a glamorous job but it is fun and rewarding, especially when you see a former player and not only do they remember you but they thank you. It was fun to receive the award at the 2A State Tournament prior boys championship game because I’ve had the honor of officiating the kids from Central Plains and St. John for many years. I also was able to cheer and I cheered for BOTH teams!
KSHSAA recognizes sports officials for 20, 30, and 40 years of service at the 2015 2A State Basketball Tournament in Kansas State Univeristy’s Bramlage Coliseum on March 14.
